edtv99 won three ASPRA*tions awards for 2009-2010

edtv99 ASPRA AwardsThe Mesa Public Schools' Educational Television Department won three ASPRA*tions awards for 2009-2010. ASPRA stands for Arizona School Public Relations Association. Ed-TV produces educational and informative videos for schools, departments, and the community. Many of Ed-TV's videos can be seen on Cox cable channel 99 and on the Mesa Public Schools' Internet site. An ASPRA*tion Award of Excellence was earned for Ed-TV's College Core video, detailing the new high school student ranking system based on College Core classes. Ed-TV earned two ASPRA*tion Awards of Distinction for videos promoting  MyMPS Portal and AVID. My MPS Portal is the new Internet communication portal for parents of secondary students. AVID, or Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a secondary program that helps turn average students into college-bound students. David Luna is the director of Mesa Public Schools' Educational Television Department.
